(Bonn, Germany) On November 11, 2017, the 23rd UN Climate Change Conference was held in Bonn, Germany ("Bonn Climate Change Conference", "COP23"). Mr. Alan Li, CEO of Panda Green Energy Group Limited was invited to one of the side events themed Clean Energy Investing and Financing Conference hosted by the European Union and its Member States. Mr. Alan Li introduced about the global layout of Panda Power Plant under “Panda 100” project of the UN, and appealed to the international financial institutions to join hands in promoting the project.

The meeting was jointly hosted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate, and highlighted investing and financing policies launched to support the clean energy development in the emerging economies. The guests included the senior officials and experts from Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate, Mexico Secretariat of Energy, OECD, Asian Development Bank and other international environmental protection institutions.

Mr. Alan Li said that we have to call off the endless negotiations and discussions as Europe and Asia need to immediately take actions in combating climate change. Specifically, the western countries need to review the new energy policies and remove the trade barriers on new energy products. Immediate actions should be taken to achieve the goal within a limited period. In the past two years, Chinese government has been formulating and practicing relevant policies that encourage Chinese enterprises’ continuous innovations in this field. Emergence of new technologies and collection of talents and capitals have enabled renewable energy access to thousands of households. Giant panda is a symbol of loveliness, peace and friendliness in China. The UN’s Panda Power Plant has become China's representative in the field of new energy development. Mr. Alan Li also called for more participants such as European financial institutions and environmental protection organizations, to join hands with Panda Green Energy, and make Panda Power Plant the banner and benchmark on the global climate actions. It received warm applause from representatives at the meeting. The Vice Minister of Mexican Secretariat of Energy took the opportunity to welcome Panda Power Plant’s presence in Mexico.
