United PV Acquires Guodian 210MW Solar Power Plant Project to Kick Off Acquisition of Large-scale Solarpower Plants

Hong Kong, China, 11 May 2015 - United Photovoltaics Group Limited (“United PV” or the “Company”, stock code: 00686.HK, whose largest shareholder is China Merchants New Energy Group “CMNE”), a leading solar power plant investor and operator in China, is pleased to announce today that, the Company acquires five solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 210MW, owned by Guodian.


Pursuant to the agreement, the Company will acquire five solar power plants under Guodian in the Inner Mongolia and Zhejiang Province, China, including a solar power plant with a total installed capacity of 30MW in Chahaeryouyiqianqi, Inner Mongolia, 60MW in in Keerqinzuoyizhongqi, Inner Mongolia, 50MW in Shangdu County, Inner Mongolia, 40MW in Linxi County, Inner Mongolia, and a solar power plant with 30MW installed capacity in Haining City, Zhejiang Province, with an aggregate consideration of approximately RMB190 million.


The acquisition agreement has kicked off United PV’s year plan in 2015 to acquire large-scale solar power plant projects. After a year of strategic planning, United PV’s acquisition is actively spreading over the Northwest, Northern China, Eastern China and Southern China etc. Looking forward, United PV will gain ownership of more well-planned solar power plants across China. The Company will speed up the implementation of its own solar power plants so as to expand its project structures as well as boosting its installed capacity.
