On April 29, Zhu Jun, Executive President of Beijing Energy International, led a delegation to Chengdu, Sichuan, where he met with Zhang Qing, President of CIECC Planning & Design (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. The two sides held a meeting on advancing the conclusion of the 14^th Five-Year Plan for energy, planning high-quality hydropower development in Sichuan under the 15^th Five-Year Plan, revitalizing the company’s existing hydropower assets in the province, and deepening practical cooperation in the clean energy sector.

During the meeting, both sides shared their respective business layouts, development progress in Sichuan, and medium- and long-term strategic plans, and conducted in-depth exchanges on key topics including the scientific development of hydropower resources during the 15^th Five-Year Plan period, optimization of cascade development planning at the basin level, and revitalization of existing assets. Zhu Jun expressed appreciation for the professional support provided by CIECC Planning & Design (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. in the preliminary design work of the company’s hydropower projects in Sichuan. He noted that revitalizing hydropower resources in Sichuan is an important measure for the company to implement the new development philosophy and support energy security in the Chengdu–Chongqing economic circle, and expressed hope to leverage the institute’s planning and consulting strengths to jointly advance project feasibility studies and optimize development plans.

Zhang Qing stated that CIECC Planning & Design (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. will actively align with Sichuan’s hydropower and new energy development plans under the 15^th Five-Year Plan, give full play to its technical and consulting strengths, and support the company in staying aligned with policy directions, advancing the sound revitalization of its existing hydropower assets, and improving the overall performance of its clean energy portfolio in the province. Both sides agreed to further strengthen coordination, jointly promote high-quality project implementation, and achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefit.

Relevant representatives from CIECC Planning & Design (Sichuan) Co., Ltd., as well as Zhang Bo, General Manager of Zangneng Company, among others, attended the meeting.
