On October 29, 2021, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International, met with Thomas Keller, Senior Vice President of Vestas and President of Vestas China, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on investment cooperation in new energy fields such as wind power and hydrogen production at home and abroad. He Xiaojia, Vice President of Vestas China, Jia Shuo, Senior Sales Director of China, Yan Jingsong, Director of Business Development of Vestas China, Jia Geng, Vice President of Beijing Energy International, Zhao Li, Director of Investment, Zhou Guo, Director of Safety Production, Guo Liang, General Manager of Overseas Business Department, Liu Lei, General Manager of North Branch and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.





During the meeting, Zhang Ping welcomed Thomas Keller and his delegation, and introduced the current operation, development plan and industrial layout at home and abroad. He said that Beijing Energy International had established its new energy presence in most Chinese provinces and cities amid its high-quality and rapid development, meanwhile it was also operating in Australia, Europe and countries along the Belt and Road. Vestas is a global leader in renewable energy industry and wind power technology. Both sides are highly aligned on investment and construction in new energy both at home and abroad. Zhang Ping suggested that on the basis of the long-term strategic cooperation agreement, projects between the two sides should be accelerated, and a regular exchange mechanism should be established to achieve strong partnership and common development.


Thomas Keller introduced the industrial layout and development plan of Vestas at home and abroad. He said that Vestas had always been committed to the research and development, manufacturing, operation and service of wind turbine equipment, and the market share of wind turbines had been ranking first in the world for many years. He pointed out that Beijing Energy International had made remarkable achievements in the year and a half since its establishment, and that the development concepts of both sides were highly consistent, and there was a very broad space for cooperation in wind power and hydrogen production of domestic base projects and wind power development in Australia and Europe. He hoped that through this meeting, the two sides could establish a long-term strategic partnership, intensify cooperation, go hand in hand and achieve win-win cooperation.


 Participants from both sides had an in-depth exchange on cooperation capacity in Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Guangxi and other areas, which laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
