On January 13, 2022, Liu Guoxi, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Energy International visited Ma Xinming, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and district head of Miyun District, Beijing, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on promoting investment and construction of new energy projects. Relevant leaders of Miyun District Development and Reform Commission, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Land and Resources Bureau, Environmental Protection Bureau, Mujiayu Township as well as Jia Geng, vice president of Beijing Energy International attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Ma Xinming welcomed Liu Guoxi and his delegation, and introduced the current new energy development in the District and its regional economic cooperation in attracting investment. He said that new energy projects should be based on the overarching strategy of rural revitalization, integrate photovoltaic projects with agriculture, cultural tourism and other industries, promote local employment, dovetail with the national dual carbon goal and unleash the productivity in rural area. He welcomed Beijing Energy International to participate in the development and construction of clean energy in the District and hoped that both sides would actively create a cooperation platform and a cooperation model that boosts long-term development.

Liu Guoxi introduced various business segment of Beijing Energy Holding Co., Ltd., and its future planning. He said that as a pilot SOE of mixed ownership reform in Beijing, the company had aligned itself with the guideline of “high quality, high efficiency and excellence”, innovated the system and mechanism while embracing high quality and rapid development. He stressed that the company would leverage its professional and technical advantages, build a demonstration project for rural revitalization as well as new energy development in the District, continuously expand the local investment and development of clean energy for economic development, and contribute to the early realization of the dual carbon goal in Beijing.
