On June 6, 2023, the 3.2MW distributed photovoltaic project of Luoshan County Prison in Xinyang, Henan Province was registered, which lays a good foundation for Beijing Energy International to promote new energy projects in the prison system onwards.

The project is located in Wujiapo, Nangan Town, Luoshan County, Xinyang City, Henan Province, with a planned total installed capacity of 3.2MW. The project can supply electricity for its self-use, with the surplus connecting to the grid. After it becomes up and running, it is estimated to generate about 3.07 million kWh of green electricity per year, equivalent to saving about 944 tons of standard coal and reducing about 2,952 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The project will play an exemplary demonstration role for Henan prison system to actively pursue low-carbon and energy-saving and build resource-saving prisons.
