On April 28, Beijing Energy International’s 15MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project at BBMG’s Fengshan Mine in Changping District, Beijing, achieved full-capacity grid connection. This project is a demonstration initiative jointly developed by Beijing Energy Holding and BBMG Corporation under a deep strategic cooperation framework. It aligns with the “14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development in Beijing” and the “14th Five-Year Plan for Mine Ecological Restoration in Beijing,” integrating ecological mine restoration with new energy development and utilization. It also marks another key achievement for Beijing Energy International in advancing the capital’s transition to green and low-carbon energy.
The project is located in the Wenshuyu mining area under BBMG’s Beishui Fengshan Mine in Cuicun Town, Changping District. With a total installed capacity of 15MW, the project operates under the model of “self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid.” Upon commissioning, it is expected to generate approximately 18.5 million kWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 5,682 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 15,500 tons. The project will further contribute to the energy transition and economic development of the capital.
