BJ ENERGY INTL’s 300MW (Phase I: 150MW) Agrivoltaic Project in Guohua, Pingguo City, Baise, Guangxi Connected to the Grid
Time:2025-08-01

On July 31, the first unit of BJ ENERGY INTL’s 300MW agrivoltaic project (Phase I: 150MW) in Guohua Town, Pingguo City, Baise, Guangxi, was successfully connected to the grid and began power generation. This marks the company’s first self-invested and self-constructed photovoltaic project in Guangxi, as well as the largest contiguous agrivoltaic installation in the region, laying a solid foundation for the low-carbon energy transition in Pingguo City.

With a total planned capacity of 300MW, the project has completed 150MW in its first phase. Utilizing an agrivoltaic model, it seamlessly combines solar power generation with agricultural cultivation, effectively creating a dual-purpose ecological system that enables “power generation above and farming below.” During construction, the project overcame multiple challenges such as complex terrain, scattered land parcels, and evolving policy conditions. Thanks to the concerted efforts of all participating teams, the first unit was successfully connected to the grid on schedule.

Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate about 155 million kWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to saving around 46,300 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 126,000 tons per year. The project delivers significant social and economic benefits and provides strong support for the high-quality development of the new energy industry in Guangxi and the upgrade of the local energy structure.
