On August 15, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, led a delegation to Xilinhot City, and met with Guo Yufeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xilingol League Committee and Head of the League Government, for discussions on advancing the preliminary work of the Xilingol-to-Beijing Power Transmission Project Energy Base Project and deepening cooperation in the energy sector.
At the meeting, Guo Yufeng welcomed Zhang Ping and his delegation, and expressed gratitude for Beijing Energy International’s long-standing support to Xilingol. He noted that the League is currently making every effort to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of its energy structure. He expressed the hope that, building on their sound cooperation, the company would give full play to its comprehensive strengths in capital, technology, and markets, with a focus on green power transmission to Beijing and the entire new energy value chain. He encouraged both sides to jointly plan and implement more high-quality projects, creating a new model of government–enterprise cooperation.
Zhang Ping expressed appreciation for the continuous support and assistance provided by the League Government, and shared updates on the progress of the energy base project. He highlighted that Xilingol is rich in green power resources and has broad market prospects. The company will continue to actively participate in the planning and construction of the League’s new energy bases and ultra-high-voltage (UHV) power transmission channels. He also emphasized establishing a full-cycle communication mechanism, from strategic consensus to project implementation, in order to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation and achieve mutual benefits.
The meeting was also attended by Zhao Feipeng, Vice Head of the League Government, along with other officials. From Beijing Energy International, participants included Wu Chaoke, Vice President; Zhang Pengyuan, General Manager of the Strategic Investment Department; and Wang Ruotao, General Manager of the Northern Branch, among others.
