Beijing Energy International’s 1.75MW distributed photovoltaic (PV) project at the Beijing Tongzhou District Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has successfully passed review by the Tongzhou District Development and Reform Commission and completed filing. This marks the company’s first public health-related PV project in Beijing and represents another key achievement in advancing the city’s green energy development.
The project is located in Tongzhou District, Beijing, and will install a 1.75MW distributed PV power station on the rooftop of the new premises of the Beijing CDC. It will be connected to the grid under the “self-generation for self-use with surplus power fed into the grid” model. Once operational, the project is expected to generate nearly 2.28 million kWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 690 tons of standard coal and reducing around 2,006 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. It will increase the share of green power consumption for the owner, support carbon reduction, and contribute to the green energy upgrade of the capital’s public health sector, empowering the early realization of Beijing’s dual carbon goals through concrete action.
