On September 24, the 2nd International Energy Sustainable Development (ESG) Forum, hosted by the China Energy Research Society and organized by its Energy Finance and Law Branch together with Beijing Wanjia Green Credit Rating Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Chongli, Hebei, with support from Shanghai University of Electric Power and its Energy and Power Development Strategy Research Center.
During the forum, the much-anticipated “2025 Top 200 Sustainability (ESG) Evaluation of Chinese Energy Listed Companies” was officially released. Beijing Energy International ranked 8th among 632 energy sector listed companies nationwide, moving up two places from last year. The evaluation system comprehensively assessed the sustainability performance of energy companies through 37 quantitative and 43 qualitative indicators across three dimensions: environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
Thanks to its outstanding sustainability practices, Beijing Energy International also received an ‘A’ rating in the Energy Enterprise Sustainability (ESG) Evaluation, jointly issued by the China Energy Research Society and Beijing Wanjia Green Credit Rating Co., Ltd. This is the best rating in the evaluation system, highlighting the strong recognition of the company’s ESG management practices by the industry.
Achieving this top-tier ESG rating and entering the forefront of the national ranking reflects the company’s remarkable progress in environmental protection, corporate governance, and social responsibility. Looking ahead, Beijing Energy International will continue to uphold the concept of sustainable development, actively fulfill its corporate citizenship responsibilities, and further enhance its ESG performance, making greater contributions to global clean and low-carbon energy development and the fight against climate change.
