On November 20, the Zhongludao Modern Marine Ranch Complex Project invested and developed by Jinglu (Yuhuan) New Energy Co., Ltd. under Beijing Energy International, obtained project coding approval from the Yuhuan Municipal Development and Reform Commission. This milestone marks a significant step for the company in implementing China’s national strategy of building a strong maritime nation and promoting the high-quality development of the marine economy. It also lays a solid foundation for achieving the company’s first breakthrough in offshore wind power.

The project is guided by the three core concepts of “zero-carbon, intelligent, and integrated.” It aims to build a national-level demonstration island for the marine economy, integrating green production, clean energy, and ecological & cultural tourism. Located on Zhongludao in Yuhuan City, Zhejiang Province, within the East China Sea, the project leverages legally authorized sea areas. It plans to add more than 1,000 mu (around 164.7 acres) of demonstration aquaculture bases and construct a marine new energy system with a total installed capacity of 400 MW, including 200 MW of offshore wind power and 200 MW of offshore photovoltaic generation. Once operational, the project is expected to generate nearly 940 million kWh of clean and green electricity annually, equivalent to saving about 282,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by roughly 817,800 tons. The implementation of this project will significantly support the optimization of the local energy structure and the integration of related industries. It will inject new momentum into China’s green energy transition and the high-quality economic and social development of coastal regions.
