Beijing Energy International and JA Solar Signed A Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On December 13, 2021, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International visited Jin Baofang, Chairman of JA Solar, and the two sides held discussions on project development and construction and equity cooperation and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Niu Xinwei, CEO of JA Solar, Huang Xinming, Senior Vice President, Li Dong, Assistant President, and Zhang Fenghai, General Manager of JA Solar (China), Zhu Jun, President of Beijing Energy International, Huang Hui, Jia Geng, Wang Liuhu, Vice Presidents of Beijing International, Liu Jiguang, General Manager of Business Planning Department and other relevant personnel attended the signing ceremony.





Prior to the meeting, Zhang Ping and his delegation visited the exhibition hall of JA Solar, and learned about its industrial chain, including silicon materials, silicon rods, silicon wafers, batteries and components.




During the meeting, Jin Baofang welcomed the visit of Zhang Ping and his delegation, and briefed the past and current development of JA Solar. He pointed out that Beijing Energy International was an industry champion well known for its rapid development over the past two years and good reputation with flexible mechanism. He said that the strategic positioning of both companies was highly aligned, which would serve as a cornerstone for bilateral cooperation. He hoped to maintain a long-term strategic cooperative relationship with the company, advance cooperation in clean energy and strive for common development.


Zhang Ping introduced the development and vision of Beijing Energy International. He said that JA Solar, as one of China Fortune Top 500 and Global Top 500 new energy enterprises, owned a complete industrial chain, and focused on technological innovation, and enjoyed great reputation in new energy sector at home and abroad. He pointed out that the development concepts of both sides were highly compatible and the prospects were broad. It is hoped that both sides will give full play to their respective strengths, carry out all-round cooperation in equity and projects development, achieve mutual benefit, jointly innovate, develop and contribute to the early attainment of the dual carbon goal.






Finally, the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement, according to which they would carry out in-depth cooperation in resource acquisition, project development, investment, construction, operation and maintenance of large-scale photovoltaic power generation bases; they will galvanize their competitive edges in technology and synergy, jointly innovate and study the application scenarios of all types of comprehensive smart energy, continuously improve the quality of products and services, optimize comprehensive smart energy schemes and system integration, achieve technological progress, and actively explore innovative project development and cooperation mode of co-building and sharing in comprehensive smart energy; they will also seek opportunities for cooperation in equity and leverage the dual drivers of capital and technology; and they will bolster cooperation in international business.
