On June 27, 2023, Beijing Energy International was invited to attend the Investment Promotion Conference and the Cooperative Project Agreements Signing Ceremony of Dazhou City of Sichuan Province in Hong Kong and signed the Wanyuan City (Guandu-Lishu Area) Clean Energy Comprehensive Development and Utilization Project Agreement with Wanyuan Municipal Government.

At the promotion conference, Zhang Ping, chairman of the Board of Directors of Beijing Energy International, spoke as an entrepreneur representative. He thanked Dazhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Wanyuan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and partners for their strong support. He said that the work done by the Dazhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government in attracting investment, industrial park construction and industrial development has strengthened the confidence and determination of the company to invest in Dazhou and seek common development. In the early stage, the company has successfully signed a low-carbon energy city cooperation agreement with the Government of Wanyuan City, Dazhou, and has carried out fruitful cooperation in wind power, photovoltaic power, integrated energy of natural gas, smart city and wind power manufacturing. Going forward, the company will pool its best resources and make every concrete step to promote the relevant projects to be landed, launched, built and operated sooner, and create a model of cooperation between local government and enterprise, support Dazhou in achieving its dual carbon goal as well as its “one cluster zone, one hub and one center” goal earlier.

This signing of agreement further specified the investment scale of clean energy project. After the project is completed, it will provide more job opportunities for Wanyuan’s old revolutionary base area, meet the growing demand for energy supply in the area, and help revitalize local rural areas.

Shao Gejun, party secretary of Dazhou Municipal Party Committee, Ni Xin, party secretary of Wanyuan Municipal Party Committee, and heads of Wanyuan City, Dazhu County, Qu County and Municipal Economic Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Bureau; Hong Jinxuan, executive committee member of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (or DAB) and chairman of the Training Committee of DAB; vice president Huang Hui, vice president Wu Chaoke and vice president Jin Xin of Beijing Energy International, attended the signing ceremony.
