China Merchants New Energy Ranked among "Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises" and China's Top Ten New Energy Enterprises

(Wuhan, December 6, 2016)—On December 6, the “2016 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprise Conference and New Energy Development Summit Forum” was hosted in Wuhan and released the top enterprises list, namely the “2016 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises” list. China Merchants New Energy Group Limited (“CMNE”) was ranked the 33th place in the Global Top 500 list and the 10th place among Chinese new energy enterprises.

Jointly launched by China Energy News and China Institute of Energy Economics Research, “Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprise” is a large-scale public welfare activity on authorized research and assessment of the new energy industry. This activity has been successfully held for five consecutive years since 2011. It is noted that the “Study on Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises” has been selected as soft science project by National Energy Administration.

In 2016, the listed enterprises come from 36 different countries and areas around the world, of which the number of selected Chinese enterprises increased by 25 comparing to last year, amounted to 193. The number is even greater than the US (65 shortlisted) and Japan (46 shortlisted), which ranked the 2nd place and the 3rd place respectively.

Meanwhile, CMNE won the “Remarkable Contribution Award” and the “International Cooperation Award”. The world's first million watts Buddhist Charity Power Plant ----Lingyin PV No.1 Project, also won the “Social Contribution Award”. In addition, Mr. LI Yuan, CEO of CMNE, was awarded the “2016 Global New Energy Business Leadership Award”.
