On November 5, Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Board of Beijing Energy International, was invited to Shanghai to attend the Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, and participated as a guest speaker in the sub-forum on the “10th Anniversary of the Implementation of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement.”

During the forum, Zhang Ping engaged in in-depth exchanges with senior officials, business leaders, and distinguished guests from both China and Australia. He focused on presenting Beijing Energy International’s development achievements and strategic layout in the Australian green energy sector under the framework of the Free Trade Agreement. He also elaborated on the company’s practical experience in overseas project development, infrastructure management, asset management, and power sales management. After years of deep cultivation in Australia, the company has now become the largest Chinese-funded enterprise in terms of installed capacity in the Australian clean energy sector, building a strong brand presence in the local market.

When discussing future cooperation, Zhang Ping stated that the company will continue to uphold the principles of openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit, deepen partnerships with Australian counterparts, and focus on key areas such as green energy, digital energy, and carbon neutrality. The company will explore innovative business models and cooperation pathways, hoping that the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement will provide higher-level institutional guarantees for bilateral cooperation. Leveraging its own strengths, the company will actively fulfill its corporate social responsibilities, promote deeper and more substantive China-Australia energy cooperation, and contribute to enhancing the level of bilateral economic and trade collaboration as well as advancing global green development.
