On March 24, Zhang Ping, Executive Director and President of Beijing Energy International, met in Changchun, Jilin Province, with Liu Hong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Baicheng Municipal People’s Congress and Party Secretary of the Da’an Municipal Committee, and his delegation. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on advancing preparations for the commencement of the “Jilin-to-Beijing Power Transmission Project”. 

At the meeting, Zhang Ping expressed appreciation to the Da’an Municipal Committee and Municipal Government for their continued trust and support, and briefed the participants on project progress, pre-construction preparations, matters requiring local coordination, and next-stage plans. He noted that, given the tight timeline and demanding tasks, the project will be advanced through close coordination with the local government, ensuring construction commences as scheduled.

Liu Hong stated that the project is a key project under the national 14^th Five-Year Plan for power development, and that promoting its early commencement is a firm political responsibility of the municipal Party committee and government. He emphasized that the city will mobilize resources across the municipality to ensure the project starts on schedule. Relevant departments should closely monitor all aspects of project preparations and construction, plan proactively, focus on critical stages, resolve key challenges, and provide comprehensive support to ensure the project is implemented efficiently and put into operation as scheduled, achieving the goal of “developing one project, fostering an industry, and benefiting the local population”.
