On March 24, Zhang Ping, Executive Director and President of Beijing Energy International, led a delegation to Changchun, Jilin Province, to meet with Zhou Jingdong, Chairman and Party Secretary of State Grid Jilin Electric Power Company (State Grid Jilin), and Liu Changjiang, Board Director, President, and Deputy Party Secretary. The two sides exchanged on advancing grid-side preparations for the “Jilin-to-Beijing Power Transmission Project”.
Zhou Jingdong welcomed the visit and emphasized that the project is a key initiative under the national 14th Five-Year Plan for power development. He stated that State Grid Jilin will fully support the project’s timely implementation, manage critical stages, resolve key challenges, and ensure efficient coordination of all grid-side activities, so that the project can be commissioned as scheduled.
Zhang Ping expressed gratitude for State Grid Jilin’s long-standing trust and support, and briefed the delegation on project progress and next-stage plans. Both sides conducted detailed discussions on the dispatch model, contracting parties for annual priority power purchase agreements, research and application of networked energy storage, and the establishment of a long-term coordination mechanism, and reached consensus on further collaboration.
