On July 28, Beijing Energy International won the bid for the integrated energy project at Shuguang Office Center in Haidian District, Beijing. The project marks a significant breakthrough in the company’s expansion into the energy cost management service for administrative office buildings. It also represents another important achievement in leveraging green energy to support Beijing’s low-carbon development, fulfilling its responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise in supporting the development of the capital city, and contributing to the high-quality development of Beijing in the new era.

Located at No. 1 Landianchang Xilu Road, Haidian District, Beijing, the Shuguang Office Center is mainly used by the Shuguang Subdistrict Office, police station, traffic management department, and various district government agencies. Under the energy cost management service model, the project will take a series of measures, including the replacement of outdated water-source heat pump units, integrated control and coordinated operation of plant room equipment, and upgrades to air-conditioning terminal controls, thereby reducing energy consumption of the building’s cooling and heating systems. The project will also upgrade lighting systems in selected public areas and conference rooms to improve lighting quality and efficiency. Meanwhile, an intelligent operation and management platform will be deployed to further enhance energy-saving performance. Following the renovation, the project is expected to save approximately 120,000 kWh of electricity annually, achieving annual savings of approximately 36 tons of standard coal equivalent and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 96 tons. In addition, a distributed photovoltaic power generation system with an installed capacity of approximately 0.5 MW will be developed using the building’s available rooftop space. Operating under the “self-consumption with surplus electricity fed into the grid” model, the photovoltaic system is expected to generate approximately 520,000 kWh of electricity annually after commissioning, equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by about 157 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 414 tons.
The successful bid represents a key milestone for the company in expanding its energy cost management service business in the administrative office building sector. The implementation of this project will further accelerate the transformation of administrative office areas toward a green, low-carbon, smart, and comfortable future.
