On September 15, Huang Hui, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Wang Liuhu, Vice President of Beijing Energy International led a delegation to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and visited Huang Fei, Director (Legal Representative and Acting Chairman), and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (presiding over the work) of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Sichuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. The two sides held a thematic discussion on thoroughly implementing the national plan for the high-quality development of hydropower in Sichuan during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, revitalizing the company’s existing hydropower resources in Sichuan, and deepening practical cooperation in the clean energy sector.
At the meeting, both sides respectively provided an overview of their business operations, current operations in the Sichuan region, and medium- and long-term development plans. They held in-depth discussions on clean energy development and construction, revitalization of existing resources, project risk management and control, compliance system development, and internal resource coordination and synergy during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Huang Hui noted that Sichuan is an important base for the company’s clean energy business layout. Going forward, it will continue to base itself on its mission of ensuring energy security in the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle, coordinate the optimization of existing assets with the planning of new projects, resolve development difficulties and bottlenecks, and promote the development of its clean energy business in the Sichuan region. He expressed the hope that both sides would continue to deepen cooperation and jointly advance business development in Sichuan.
Huang Fei welcomed the visit and exchange by the delegation. He stated that SPIC Sichuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. will closely align with the strategic deployment of SPIC, leverage local resource endowments, focus on key tasks such as improving the quality of existing assets, proactively keep closely in line with SPIC’s business layout, deepen coordination and linkage between the two sides, and make every effort to promote the high-quality development of the clean energy business in the Sichuan region.
Both sides agreed that they would further improve the regularized communication mechanism, pool development strengths, coordinate efforts to advance key projects, achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages, and jointly contribute to the steady and long-term development of the SPIC’s clean energy business in Sichuan.
