Luhuo Photovoltaic Power Station in Sichuan

The Luhuo Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Luhuo County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an installed capacity of 20 MW. It is located at an altitude between 4,100 and 4,200 meters, an area that is economically underdeveloped and mainly inhabited by ethnic minorities. Considering the needs of local animal husbandry, the project increased the height of PV panel brackets to meet the needs of vegetation growth, ensured the grazing space for cattle and sheep, and realized the integration of both industries. It is a classic photovoltaic project in Ganzi area where clean energy, ecological development and pastoral development are mutually beneficial and win-win. The project covers an area of 590 mu (around 39 hectares), with an annual power generation of 31 million kWh. At the same time, as one of the photovoltaic poverty alleviation clean energy projects in Sichuan Province in 2017, the project has helped 1,970 targeted people, and paid 1.97 million yuan per year for poverty alleviation. In February, 2020, Luhuo County was removed from the poverty-stricken county list. The project has played a positive role in driving local economic growth, promoting the construction of a green Ganzi Tibetan area and implementing the social responsibility of an electric power enterprise.

Xiangcheng Photovoltaic Power Station in Sichuan Province

The Xiangcheng Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Dinggong Prairie, Xiangcheng County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Its landform is mountainous terrain, with an elevation between 3,940 meters and 4,050 meters.

As a poverty alleviation project, it is responsible for poverty alleviation task in Daofu County and Luhuo County. Every year, it targets to help over 1,680 poverty-stricken people in Daofu county and 1,930 poverty-stricken people in Luhuo County and has made remarkable contributions to poverty alleviation and rural revitalization in the two counties.

It has a total installed capacity of 30MW, an average annual power generation of about 58 million kWh, saving about 17,700 tons of standard coal and reducing about 48,600 tons of carbon dioxide annually. It plays a significant role in reducing environmental pollution and protecting the ecological environment, creating considerable environmental benefits.
