Kaineng Photovoltaic Power Station in Yanchi, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

The Kaineng Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Niujikouzi Village under Yuqiang Administrative Village, Fengjigou Town, Yanchi County, Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It was connected to power grid on June 30, 2016.

It is a distributed PV project developed through combining the rooftops of breeding base with the ground spaces.

Its total area is about 736 mu (around 49 hectares) and the installed capacity is 20 MW, with a total investment of 188,366,300 yuan. The average annual effective power generation utilization hours can reach 1527.72, which means that its annual output of green energy electricity is about 30,554,400 kWh, equivalent to saving 9,300 tons of coal resources and reducing 25,400 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, which greatly protects the ecological environment and well practices the concept of green development.

Hongsibu Photovoltaic Power Station in Ningxia

The Hongsibu Photovoltaic Power Station is located in Hongsibu District, Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, with an installed capacity of 200 MW. It is the first large-scale photovoltaic power station with energy storage operation in Ningxia. The station area is close to Gunhong Expressway and Hongdecishan Avenue, making full use of the abundant solar energy resources and convenient power transmission channels in Ningxia. The project covers an area of 10,521.9479 mu (around 701 hectares), with an average annual power generation of about 290 million kWh. Since it was put into operation in 2016, it has generated a total of 1.67 billion kWh of green electricity, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.66 million tons, reducing deforestation by about 30,000 cubic meters, and illuminating about 1.35 million households in urban and rural areas. Now this vast “blue ocean” of solar panels in the desert is continuously supplying green energy.
